Return/Exchange Policy

We have a 21-day return policy for book and non-book merchandise, which means you have 21 days after receiving your item to initiate a return.  Bulk and custom orders are not eligible for returns or refunds.

Your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging to be eligible for a return. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at info@kindredstorieshtx.com or visit us in store. If you are mailing an item back to us, the shipping cost is you responsibility.  If Kindred Stories determines we are at fault for a defective item, we will provide a shipping label for your return.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately (within 48 hours) if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products, intimate items, or jewelry). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges

All eligible returns purchases are exchangeable. If you would like to get a different item, we encourage you to do so. 

Refunds

At this time, we do not offer refunds using your original payment method. The payment amount can be applied to a different item or put on a Kindred Stories gift card for a later date or purchase.
