Based in Houston, TX and founded in 2021 during a global pandemic, Kindred Stories celebrates storytelling, artisans, and Black authors by creating space in the literary community for marginalized voices, diverse stories, and allyship. As a small business, we seek to support our community through author events, bookseller networking, and school and community programs. In 2022 we expanded our services to offer publishers, organizations, and authors an indie solution for their bulk order fulfillment needs. Our current services include bulk drop shipments, mass book mailings, preorder campaigns, book customization options, and virtual event orders. We offer bulk discounts for orders over 10 copies and report sales to the top bestseller lists, including the New York Times and Bookscan.

Our team is prepared to respond to, quote, and process bulk order requests within two business hours.

Bulk pricing discounts, free standard drop shipping to one location (varies by publisher), and multi-address drop shipping are available. Both giveaway and non-giveaway bulk discount schedules are available upon request.

Kindred Stories offers many customization options, including bookplate placement, custom cover stickers, letters, gift notes, and bookmark inserts.

We work with local part-time employees from our underserved neighborhood to get these orders fulfilled. If your marketing team is looking for artisans to supply swag items and/or small gifts to include in influencer mailings, we can also help source potential products for your order.
