$18.99Lennox ‘Oz’ Anderson met what would become his obsession the night Shandea ‘Dea’ Saunders sat down to play a game of poker. Now that he had his obsession in his possession, he had to ensure that he could keep her. Oz never expected his own flesh and blood to betray him. And he definitely wasn’t going to let his twin go as far as kidnapping Dea for his own twisted pleasure, a right that was only Oz’s, without having to pay for it... with his life. Dea belonged to him and him alone. Family or not, Lennox planned to ensure that everyone, including Shandea, understood that he would do anything to protect what was his.
Will Oz find Dea in time, or will he be too late to stop his brother?

Tali never expected to run into the very man she’d compared every encounter she’d had to that one night with him. Now Tali had entered into a deal with the very man she couldn’t keep off her mind. Tali believed she could walk away from Henny when it was all said and done. But Henny has other ideas, like keeping Tali exactly where she belonged…in his bed.
Will Tali walk away again? Or will she stay?Soul ties were created in one night, bonding two couples in ways they’d never planned or imagined. Now that betrayal, jealousy, and death have appeared, will it make them second guess their connections being destiny, or will it rip them apart?

ABOUT THE BOOK
The must-have companion for classic cocktails, mocktails, and creative drinks, plus historical insights, from a celebrated industry icon.
Good Spirits is a culture-rich cocktail exploration that seamlessly blends practiced technique with deep historical knowledge. For master bartender and cocktail educator Tiffanie Barriere, the bar has always been a place where history, creativity, and community combine. From gold-standard martinis and expert Manhattans to drinks inspired by mood, the cocktail curious will learn not only how to skillfully mix and pour with joy, but also about the fascinating and often untold history behind our favorite drinks and spirits.
In addition to the backstories and recipes for 125 cocktails, enthusiasts will find illuminating essays about choosing and using spirits and the legacies (both bitter and sweet) behind them; important historical figures who invented our favorite drinks, liqueurs, and bar tools; and truths that track the impact of trends and cocktail movements. Zero-proof variations abound thanks to the ingenious concept of cocktail “stock”, while dozens of bold-flavored syrups, shrubs, and infusions make it just as easy and exciting to take a drink in a no-alcohol direction as a boozy one. Insights on tools, garnishing, ice types, and the difference between shaking, rolling, and aerating set you up to hone your mixology and make drinks with confidence.

ABOUT THE CONVERSATION PARTNER
Rooted in the unique tapestry of Creole culture, Chef Dominick Lee’s culinary journey pays heartfelt homage to his New Orleans heritage. After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Lee’s passion for cooking led him to The Art Institute of Houston, where he received the inaugural “Underbelly Scholarship” from James Beard award-winning chef Chris Shepherd. His journey to his Bachelors in Culinary Management included roles as sous chef at Bay Oaks Country Club, Executive Sous Chef under James Beard semifinalist Chef Kiran Verma at Kiran’s and stages at some of the most highly acclaimed restaurants in the country, including Alinea (2 Michelin Stars), Next (1 Michelin Star), and Blue Hill at Stone Barns (2 Michelin Stars). At 29, Lee became one of the youngest executive chefs in Houston, taking the helm at Poitín Bar & Kitchen where he earned accolades such as Texas Monthly’s 2019 Best New Restaurants and a number of “Rising Star Chef” distinctions.
In 2021, Lee relocated to Europe to study Creole food derivatives and served as head chef at Villa Lena in Tuscany. Two years later, he returned back to The States, opening Alligator Pear in New York City, which showcased a New American menu inspired by New Orleans. Now, Lee has returned to Houston to open Augustine’s, a progressive Creole restaurant exploring the many dimensions of his Creole heritage — debuting Summer 2026.

ABOUT DAISY HELPS WITH THE DRESS
When Daisy tries to help with her cousin’s wedding, her misguided assists almost ruin the big day, until she finds a way to pull the dress—and her family—together in this charming picture book by award-winning author Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich.
Daisy loves helping her family and she knows the best kind of helpers never wait to be asked. That’s why she doesn’t ask before adding finishing touches to her family’s special reused, re-tried, remixed things, like a leftover broccoli topping for Auntie Fontie’s cakes or a good bath for Nana DJ’s “back-in-the-day, rusty, dusty” vintage albums—much to their chagrin.
But what Daisy wants most is to help give her cousin Simone’s recycled wedding dress a little razzle dazzle. She knows just what the vintage dress needs: a little glitter here, a few stickers there to give the dress some flair.
But Daisy’s cousin Simone and the rest of the family are not so happy with her decorations. Can Daisy make things right and help find Simone a new re-lived, re-loved wedding dress?

Demonic Grounds: Black Women and the Cartographies of Struggle (20th Anniversary Edition)
Demonic Grounds: Black Women and the Cartographies of Struggle (20th Anniversary Edition)
Sold outThe field-defining text for black geographies―now with a new foreword and afterword
The initial publication of Demonic Grounds in 2006 marked a watershed for the field of geography: revealing how human geographies are a result of racialized connections and black placemaking practices, this book opened the discipline to feminist, interdisciplinary, and black perspectives. Katherine McKittrick traces the geographies of black women across the diaspora, arguing that the spaces they inhabit are marked by legacies of violence and slavery while also being sites of unacknowledged political power. Making a forceful claim, she identifies rich opportunities within black geographies for social and cultural change and rebellion. With a new foreword by Simone Browne and comments from Sylvia Wynter on the original edition as an afterword, this twentieth-anniversary edition celebrates Demonic Grounds and its ongoing influence on twenty-first century geography.
