ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Abiola Abrams is a spiritual teacher, intuitive coach, oracle card creatrix and award-winning author whose work brings African and diasporic goddess wisdom into contemporary storytelling, spirituality and personal transformation.

Born and raised in New York, Abrams comes from a Guyanese family with Barbadian ancestry. She studied sociology and creative writing at Sarah Lawrence College and holds an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts.

She is the author of African Goddess Initiation, The Divine Frequency, From Imagination to Reality and the novel Dare, and the creator of the African Goddess Rising Oracle, Faces of Oshun Oracle and Secrets of the Ancestors Oracle. Arriel earned her MFA in Fiction from Sarah Lawrence College and is a Tin House YA Scholar, Highlights Foundation scholarship recipient, and Walter Grant recipient.
