A stunning, heartwrenching new novel from Abi Daré, New York Times bestselling author of The Girl with the Louding Voice
When Tia accidentally overhears a whispered conversation between her mother—terminally ill and lying in a hospital bed in Port Harcourt, Nigeria—and her aunt, the repercussions will send her on a desperate quest to uncover a secret her mother has been hiding for nearly two decades.
Back home in Lagos a few days later, Adunni, a plucky fourteen-year-old runaway, is lying awake in Tia’s guest room. Having escaped from her rural village in a desperate bid to seek a better future, she’s finally found refuge with Tia, who has helped her enroll in school. It’s always been Adunni’s dream to get an education, and she’s bursting with excitement.
Suddenly, there’s a horrible knocking at the front gate. . . .It’s only the beginning of a harrowing ordeal that will see Tia forced to make a terrible choice between protecting Adunni or finally learning the truth behind the secret her mother has hidden from her. And Adunni will learn that her “louding voice,” as she calls it, is more important than ever, as she must advocate to save not only herself but all the young women of her home village, Ikati.
If she succeeds, she may transform Ikati into a place where girls are allowed to claim the bright futures they deserve—and shout their stories to the world. -

by Abi Dare
$19.00Paperback
The unforgettable, inspiring story of a teenage girl growing up in a rural Nigerian village who longs to get an education so that she can find her “louding voice” and speak up for herself, The Girl with the Louding Voice is a simultaneously heartbreaking and triumphant tale about the power of fighting for your dreams. Despite the seemingly insurmountable obstacles in her path, Adunni never loses sight of her goal of escaping the life of poverty she was born into so that she can build the future she chooses for herself - and help other girls like her do the same. Her spirited determination to find joy and hope in even the most difficult circumstances imaginable will “break your heart and then put it back together again” (Jenna Bush Hager on The Today Show) even as Adunni shows us how one courageous young girl can inspire us all to reach for our dreams…and maybe even change the world.

PRE-ORDER: Honey Goddess: A Novel
$18.99When a struggling salon owner is chosen by the African goddess Oshun, she’s thrust into an ancient power struggle—and a fated romance that could change everything.
From award-winning author, oracle creator, and spiritual teacher Abiola Abrams, Honey Goddess is an unforgettable journey into feminine power, ancestral magic, and cosmic love.
Lola Callender is a brilliant stylist, secret romantic, and woman on the verge of losing everything she’s worked for. Her luxury salon is struggling, her spa expansion has stalled, and her almost-fiancé just offered a proposal with no ring—and no clue who she really is. When a coveted industry award goes to Baz D’Ablemont, a maddeningly charming newcomer who seems to glide through life, Lola is ready to walk away from it all. Then comes the Venus Equinox...
A spontaneous oracle ritual with her three closest friends awakens something ancient and powerful. Each woman channels a different goddess—truth, fertility, passion, and love—and the world around them begins to shift. Mirrors glitch. Bees follow. Dreams return. For Lola, stepping into the energy of Oshun changes everything—from her confidence to her connection with Baz, who turns out to be far more than a rival—he is the channeling the god Shango, Oshun's partner. Beneath the magic lies a forgotten history and a threat determined to silence it. But Lola and her goddess circle aren’t backing down.

The Shipikisha Club
The Shipikisha Club
$27.95Kabwe, Zambia: Sali, a working mother of three, stands trial for the murder of her husband, Kasunga. The prosecutor claims Sali shot him after a heated fight in their bedroom. There are no witnesses. Sali pleads not guilty.
But her story does not begin with a gun. It begins fourteen years earlier—with her rebellion against the pressure to find a husband, her affair with a wealthy married man called Doc, and her discovery that she’s pregnant on the same day of Doc’s unexpected death.
To avoid the shame of being an unwed mother, Sali accepts Kasunga’s proposal, and finds herself suddenly thrust into the shipikisha club: her society’s expectations that it is a wife’s duty to endure. Over the years, Sali navigates her husband’s infidelities and alcohol-filled nights, their money troubles, and her postpartum depression in silence. Until the day she speaks her mind, and Kasunga puts a gun in her face.
The trial is a national scandal. Many are called to testify—the maid, Kasunga’s mother, and Ntashé, Sali's fifteen-year-old daughter. Even after Sali’s diary is dissected and laid bare for all to see, Sali calls no witnesses to her defense. With Kasunga gone, only Sali will ever know the truth. But is the truth enough?
Told through the rotating perspectives of Sali, Ntashé, and Sali’s mother Peggy, The Shipikisha Club is a riveting story of gender politics in Zambia and the world at large—a must-read for fans of Peace Adzo Medie, Abi Daré, Tayari P. Jones, and On Becoming a Guinea Fowl.

ABOUT THE BOOK
A struggling salon owner is chosen by the African goddess Oshun and plunged into an ancient power struggle in this slow-burn romantasy of ancestral magic, divine feminine power, and the woman bold enough to claim it.
When a goddess is reborn, empires tremble.
Generations ago, a circle of women in the freed-Black town of Amaniville, NY, called on the old gods to save their people. That prayer became a promise as they awaited the daughters who would fulfill it.
Lola Callendar's life is a hot mess on a good day. She has forty-three dollars to her name, a failing natural-hair salon, and not enough rose quartz to fix the selfish boyfriend she fears is her last chance.
This Caribbean-American beauty-guru is starting to believe she's too late--for love, for success, for her own happy ending--until a rare cosmic event when she and her found-family of three ride-or-die besties pull forbidden African goddess oracle cards, and everything changes.
She draws one name: Oshun. An Orisha. A goddess of love, beauty, and abundance. Now bees follow her, honey calls to her, and men stare.
Enter Sebastian D'ablemont--an infuriatingly fine Nawlins Creole alpha billionaire. It's hate at first sight on both sides, even though he sees her magic, not her mess, and may have some secrets and powers of his own.
But as the a group of energy vampires called Dominion of the Light close in, Lola's goddess circle and the conjure woman who mentors them prepare for spiritual warfare.
To save her heart--and the world for those who look like her--Lola will have to remember who she truly is.
