Juneteenth Set
On June 19, 1865 , Union troops arrived in Galveston Texas to enforce President Lincoln's Proclamation that was declared in 1863. There were still people on Galveston Island, upholding slavery. Juneteenth marks the day that those people in Galveston were informed that they were free.
